Australia's midnight iPhone launch
At midnight 11 July Optus became Australia's first mobile carrier to sell the iPhone 3G. We were on hand to witness the festivities and to finally play with Apple's much hyped handset.
We'd heard the rumours, we'd seen the pictures and finally we had a chance to play with Samsung's flagship phone Omnia for ourselves.
Today, at the keynote speech of the 2008 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Steve Jobs, the Skivvy King, announced a 3G-capable second generation iPhone and put his patented "iReality iDistortion .Field" into action.

Photos: Hands-on with the HTC Touch Diamond
It's not the Android phone we'd been hoping for, but HTC's Diamond looks like a real gem. The team from CNET.co.uk were on hand at the launch, armed with a camera, to bring us this exciting first look.
