Do people need 1TB HDD's in their computers? Some do. What a lame attempt to draw attention and comments.- You can't. It's view only and the device must be formatted as FAT/FAT32, which means most external HDD's won't be recognized as NTFS is the standard. Though if your really keen you can re-format.
- Could be Windows Update. If the OS is XP, it could have downloaded SP3, which is ~500mb. I would disable these from downloading automatically, so he can review the size.
- Try VLC Media Player. Just open the player, then "drop" the folder into VLC. If there's still no audio, it is possible it wasn't selected when encoding and is not there.
