Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable): Compare prices  Editors' choice

The good:

  • Amazing high res screen
  • Plenty of grunt for almost PS2-quality gaming
  • Built-in wireless capability
  • Stylish design
  • Decent battery life
  • UMD Movies look great

The bad:

  • Only comes with 32MB Memory Stick Duo
  • Shiny front will turn you into an obsessive cleaner
  • Limited functionality when it comes to music and photos
  • Complicated process to transfer your own movies for viewing

The bottomline:

It looks amazing and plays games and movies just as well. The PSP is an outstanding portable games machine and a decent movie player, but we'll have to wait for the next version for better music and picture functionality.
