I live about half an hour from Brisbane in the third largest local government region in Australia. Our phone lines are crap - mostly 'pair-gained'. The Gov. kindly provided a satelite dish. My 16yo saved his pennies and bought this $2500 Quadcore monster hoping to improve our speed. It's still crap. I'm told that only ADSL will help - but that is unlikely in the near future. The system sucks.
